Teacher Responsibilities
As with all school excursions, the duty of care and responsibility for the supervision and behaviour management of students travelling to, during, and returning from Casey Tech School rests with the accompanying staff members from your school.
We also ask that you inform parents/guardians and students about the learning programs in accordance with the information provided on this webpage and the accompanying resources.
Supervision
We ask that the number of supervising staff from your school meet the Department of Education and Training Supervision requirements for day excursions of 1 to 20 staff-student ratio with a minimum of 2 staff.
Media Forms
Casey Tech School may capture photos, video, or student work during programs to celebrate learning, share updates with our community, and promote future opportunities.
Media will only be used in line with consent provided by schools, parents, and carers.
You will be contacted by us, in advance, if media is intended to be captured during your visit.

Bus Drop-off Zone & Meeting Point
Your bus will enter the Chisholm Institute Berwick Campus and drop your group at the designated Chisholm bus loop.
A Casey Tech School facilitator will meet you on arrival and escort your group safely across to the school.
On-site parking is available at Chisholm Institute. Parking is permit only, and visitors must report to Casey Tech School reception upon arrival to arrange a virtual parking permit. Please ensure you have your vehicle registration details ready when you check in.
Alternatively, you may email admin@caseytechschool.vic.edu.au in advance to organise your parking permit prior to your visit.
Casey Tech School is an easy 5–10 minute walk from Berwick Train Station, providing convenient access to the school.
Several bus routes — 828, 835, 836, 847 and 888 — also stop nearby, offering additional transport options to the campus.
Casey Tech School provides accessible toilets and a lift for easy movement throughout the building.
Wheelchair‑accessible buses can also be arranged upon request to support visiting groups.
Students and teachers are required to bring their own morning tea and lunch. The Aroma Café on campus is also available during lunchtime; however, all students must be accompanied by a Visiting Teacher when purchasing food.
For safety and supervision reasons, students are not permitted to leave the campus during the program, and external food deliveries (e.g., Uber Eats, DoorDash) are not allowed.
